30 Days of Giving Thanks.....

It's November!  More specifically, November 1, 2011.  For the next 30 days, in the theoretical remembrance of Thanksgiving (pretending the settlers were kind to the Indians), what a fantastic time to remember what we're thankful for!
STOP.  RIGHT. NOW.  T H I N K >>>

Maybe you don't have the car you want, the job you want, or even the mate, whatever.  But, try looking at things this way:  I have a car and working towards one that I really like and can afford.  I can see it.  I'm not happy in my job, but I'll make the best of it while putting my name out there to find what I really want.  I'm thankful I'm employed in this economy.
When you focus on the positive - which is not the same as settling for what you don't like/want - you become a happier person with the right frame of mind to pursue an even better life!

Let's band together & really kick off these last few months of 2011 with positive energy!  Log on to our Facebook page and join the discussion and share what you are thankful for - anything!  Unless it's gross or way too private,t hen please....yikes.......
Here's to being thankful, happy & successful in life!

Be an Optimist!

Did you know there was an optimist's club?  I love it!  I don't have time for it, but I downright dig the fact that there is one.  Their main focus?  Bringing out the best in kids!  How can you go wrong with that?  Check them out & read the creed; I have nothing left to say.

The Optimist Creed
Promise Yourself...
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

Are you BioHappy? Biohappiness key to future - SciDev.Net

Are you happy? Most of us living in the suburbs do not have to think about biodiversity or living in harmony with nature. Our 'hood was plowed, planned and built, with little regard for the surrounding trees, plants & animals. Because we B.A.B.Es like to expand our minds and think outside ourselves, it is worth noting that there are many areas of world where they do think of such things because they live it.
It's never too late to live in harmony with, or at least have a mild affinity for, nature. Along with that may come a feeling to help give a voice to those other B.A.B.Es around the world that need to be able to survive with their nature [somewhat] intact.

"It's time to start living the life you've imagined" - Henry James
How long are you going to wait?  Until you lose the weight, you have the time, the kids are grown, you get a better job, you retire?  Our lives may never be perfect, but you can inch closer to your dreams and desires every day of your life.  If you always wait for the perfect time, it will never happen.

Have you even thought what your dreams are?  Do you remember when you were little and you said "When I grow up, I'm going to be a __!"  Or, "When I grow up, I'm going to do__".  What happened to the dreams of that young child? "Life got in the way" is what some will say.  Well, there is always something to get in the way of even our best laid plans.  What we have to ask ourselves is, "How badly do I want this?"

Life is meant to be lived - not altogether an original thought, but certainly worth repeating.  Somewhere, deep down in places we've buried, you have an inner child that is wanting to grow up and be something - great, interesting, appreciated or awe-inspiring.  Why not let them come out and play?
